Kenwood NX-5300k narrow or wide band

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if the Kenwood NX- 5300k is narrow band from the factory, if so is there an option to have wide and enabled.

The VHF NX-5300/5700 radios are Wide Band below 149MHz.
UHF is not.

I, along with several other HAM KWD employees are
sending the request to Corp JVC-Kenwood, to allow 450 and below
to be wide band capable for North America sales and use.
They are listening, but have not taken action as of yet.
