Hello all, my name is Christopher Roever KF4WSW I would like to get into using NXDN and I have been looking at compatible equipment to purchase to program and get on the air.

Thinking about buying
ICOM F62D UHF 400-470mhz
OPC-2338 programming cable

Does the OPC-2338 programming cable come with the required software and is there a file available that I can import into the programming software that has the NI4CE system frequencies, talkgroups, etc.

your help would be much appreciated.

Chris..

While the F62D Is a great radio with a great receiver, a better overall VALUE is the F4400DS.  The F4400DS comes standard with a GPS receiver, Bluetooth for voice and data, a color display and USB connectivity for programming and data.  No need to purchase the expensive OPC2338 cable.  And three F4400DS can be outfitted with a 32 GB SDRAM card to support personalized channel change announcements and recording

Just mu opinion.  Contact Tom Chance-K9VX at T-Com Systems for a great deal
