Hmmm ....

At the mo, the HL is being filled by what I think are English uni student
types. I could set the server to be a private DNA one ... but at the mo
there just isn't enough interest amongst DNA subscribers (and besides, said
English gits are all crap ... nothing wrong with good cannon-fodder).

I could ban his IP if he does it again, but if he's on a normal dial-up
account, chances are his ISP will be using dynamic IP addresses. Same story
if he's in uni ... it's just a matter of moving to another machine and
re-joining. If anyone gets his IP address next time I could possibly just
ban the whole IP range.

To be honest tho, I doubt he'll keep it up for long. I find the best way to
shut 'em up is just to hammer them into the ground ...

In DEDICATED CONSOLE type
addip xx.x.xxx.xxx 0

addip [buttmunch's ip] [time to allow access]

so basically ever ZERO minutes the person is allowed...Asta Lavista BABY!

where x represents the persons actual IP... so next time they are on...write
it down.

I can see that working.....

"excuse me... would you mind telling me what your IP address is so I can try
and get you banned?"

Ah your trying to get the bloke banned. IC. Well you could, umm, you could
try, umm, knocking on evry door in N.Ireland and seeing if someone is
playing HL on the server. Then beat the daylights out of him for his IP.
Simple as that.
