I was looking into upgrading to NH 2.0 and didn't find the good ol'
SysCache. Anyone knows the status of this module? Am I looking in the
wrong places? Is it still work to do? Has it been deprecated for some
reason?

Look in the nhcontrib project.

Of course... Thank you. This leads to my next question:

Anyone knows wether any effort is made to keep syscache in contrib up to
date with the nhibernate trunk. E.g. it appears to lack some new methods
in the interface. SysCache2 had other problems (possibly related to my
environment).

I've modified SysCache2 to the latest interface. It should be working
now.
What problem did you meet?

Thank you. My problem vanished once I opened and upgraded the project
with visual studio 2008.

I don't know why but before the upgrade I got this error while building
(I havn't explicitly enabled fxcop in any way I'm aware of on this machine):

"C:\OSS\nhcontrib\trunk\src\NHibernate.Caches.SysCache2\src\NHibernate.Caches.SysCache2\NHibernate.
Caches.SysCache2-2.0.csproj" (default target) (1) ->
(RunCodeAnalysis target) ->

C:\Program\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v8.0\CodeAnalysis\Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.targets(46,4):
error : In order to perform Code Analysis on managed binaries, MSBuild
needs to launch FxCop. MSBu
ild is unable to locate the FxCop binaries. Make sure Visual Studio Team
Edition for Software Devel
opers or Visual Studio Team Suite is installed and run MSBuild from
within the "Visual Studio Comma
nd Prompt" or specify the path to FxCop by setting the FXCOPDIR
environment variable.
