Hey!

I'm excited about this event and here are my project proposals if anyone would like to develop them further :)

There is a lot of talk about digitization in care homes to reduce errors but what about having an internet connected medication safe for people . It could:
  1. Remind them to take medication
  2. Only dispense correct medication
  3. Notify when stocks are running low
  4. Give independence
I have attached a crude drawing and think it could fun to build it.

Or my second proposal is to monitor everyday consumption of medication by linking app and smart watches. It could:

  1. Check the dosage levels, for example, if you take multiple medications at same time
  2. Might be good data for doctor to see how body actually performed under medication because someone might exaggerate
  3. Data to monitor side effects, sleep pattern heart rate etc?
  4.  Link to other apps to monitor drugs with meal consumption
I'm not sure if these ideas already exist but would be interested in prototyping any digital health monitoring device or anything cool :)

Regards,

Awais

Helen and Marcus worked on Take Your Meds at a previous hackday. Something to build on?
Hope you have a good time this weekend

Thats a great idea, especially when some people dont prefer technology.

So is it possible to incorporate measurement of dosage if people are mixing general prescription with prescribed medication?

Or if we consider technology, could we incorporate reminders into smart watches? Maybe reminders on watches when you are driving near a pharmacy to pick up prescription when you are running low?
