This week was vacation week for a lot of people, and I was out of town for 3 days, but we still accomplished quite a lot of art. For our High School students we are going to offer AP Art Studio and AP Art History. This will allow the students to begin building a portfolio that will help them recieve college credit for their work. The AP Art History will be created as a on-line course with studio and lecture time. Please share this with any high school age student that is interested in art or architecture. The work that the students in middle school are doing, can also be used toward building a portfolio that they can use in high school toward the AP credit. This will be beneficial for Home Schoolers, Private School students that don't have a full art curriculum, and for public school students that don't have space in the schedules for AP classes.
Once again, thanks for supporting the studio so we can offer training in Classical Art to children and adults. We are also beginning our projects to submit to the state fair in October. Adults can submit two pieces and students can each submit one. We are hoping to create unique realistic paintings that will capture ribbons across all age groups.
See you all real soon in the studio,
Rhonda

www.KarenWest.net Karen is recooperating from her spine surgery and we hope will be back painting with us again. Her fishing boats look great, and the large painting of fishing boats will really rock.
www.KEFriedman.com Katie's new pieces are really coming along and she only has 26 more to go for this year. Her charcoal rose is beautiful, and her portrait of Jesse will take your breath away when she finished.
www.JoyceJolly.com has a wonderful landscape in the studio, take a look next time you are in.
www.BethReese.com just finished the majority of the underpainting of her portrait of her son at target practice, and started her rose.
