REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
-Developer experience; specifically with Financial Systems Application Development
-4 year degree in IT related course of study -Excellent troubleshooting and superior customer service skills.
-Experience with Sybase or Oracle database technologies.
-Knowledge of data transformation tools such as DTS or SSIS beneficial.
-Knowledge of Unix commands and scripting is a plus.
-Experience using PeopleSoft development technologies such as Application Designer, PeopleCode, Component Interfaces, SQR, nVision, Crystal, Application Engine is a plus -Knowledge of some of the following PeopleSoft modules: AM, AP, AR, GL, eProcurement and Purchasing is beneficial -Experience writing Functional and Technical Design Documentation.
-MUST Have excellent communication skills.
Description:
As a Programmer on the Financial Systems Production team you will be responsible for developing and implementing software solutions primarily for our Accounting and Procurement departments. These software solutions mainly focus on our PeopleSoft financial modules and the integration points with these modules. This includes following Client's software development life-cycle from gathering requirements, documenting the design, developing the solution, system testing, through production release. The technologies used include the PeopleSoft tool set, Microsoft SSIS, Sybase stored procedures, and UNIX shell scripts.
Software Development Methodology and Support:
-Must understand and follow the Client methodology while developing new functionality, enhancing existing features, or supporting applications -Responsible for learning the business processes implemented in the teams applications in order to provide resolution to support problems -Effectively categorizes support problems and responds with the appropriate level of urgency
Customer Interaction/Business Knowledge:
-Interacts with the customer and documents requirements -Participates in customer/project meeting(s) for project definition, needs assessment and design review--
