I just wanted to give folks a head's up on what was sent to the Blue
Ocean Society. I mailed the money today, that was raised by this
year's renaissance faire, and it was for $400! Not too bad for a first
year cause I think. :)
If you haven't checked out what the Blue Ocean Society does you might
want to, they have a lot of neat programs, beach cleanups, whale
watches, adopt-a-beach or marine creature etc.. It's a really neat
organization and has a lot of fun stuff going on:

Next year I am not sure if we'll stick to the Blue Ocean Society or
look for another charity to help, so we help as many folks as possible,
please let me know your thoughts. I'd prefer to stick to the smaller
organizations that might not get as much help as they need and I'd also
like to stick to local charities that we can interact with if possible.
So, I hope you're all as excited about helping these folks out as I am!
The interesting thing is that I chose them and then my friend Vic
thanked me for helping the group she works with. I didn't even realize
they were on in the same. She was a help in setting this up and, if
you've been involved with the Blue Ocean Society or gone on one of
their whale watches, you might have even met her! :)
I will also be awarding the "Volunteer of the year" award soon so
please keep your eyes peeled for that!
OK, I have to go but I wanted to thank everyone, again, for all of
their help and support and, to those who weren't involved in a
volunteer, act or merchant kind of a way this year but would *like* to
be in 2006 please e-mail me ASAP so we can start organizing everyone.
All help is appreciated.
Thanks again! )O(
