Here is a copy of a note that I put on the site for those who missed
it. So many of you were troopers and really told us that "if we made
it through this we can make it through almost anything!". :) Our
volunteers, merchants AND patrons worked 3 times as hard to make the
event work well and we really appreciate all that you did and your
support, thank you again!
For those that didn't get to attend the finale on Sunday I would like
to introduce the people that are taking on the faire for next year;
Marghi and Bob, (the landowners of the Three Maples Art & Nature Camp),
and the Corr Thieves! They have all shown a great love for the faire
and a true passion for it's mission; a family and community event
celebrating local talent and craft as well as history, fantasy and
spirituality for a good cause!
I will be helping them along the way but cannot run the event again
next year during my busy season, (my work load triples from August
through Samhain!). They went above and beyond this year and last and I
have no fear that they will cherish this event like I have.
Please help me welcome these wonderful folks to the task at hand, they
are already planning and plotting and prepping for another great event,
(though hopefully a little more dry)! :)
We hope to see you all next year, )O(

> Hello everyone! First off I would like to send our deepest regrets for having to close the faire early on Saturday of the faire. We did *not* plan to nor want to but the weather conditions made getting into the faire dangerous even on foot! We really had no choice in the matter and we would have felt horrible if someone got hurt or stuck in the muck. We took a vote, though, to make sure that all were agreed, and all but a few folks said that we should head home, (this included the patrons). Due to the weather we had a lot of things that had to change and we did our best to make adjustments in the clearest and easiest manner for patrons but we understand that it was tricky to follow at times unfortunately. We held the ritual on Sunday morning so people would be able to still attend one. It was brief but good, thank you to Moonie for running it!
Secondly we would like to thank everyone for attending and being so
understanding, this includes not only the patrons but also the
volunteers and merchants! We had monkey wrench after monkey wrench
thrown at us between the hurricane-like conditions and people getting
stuck in the mud then, on Sunday, the wind taking it's toll on multiple
canopies. Not only did we run and have, all things considered, positive
feedback but we also ran on a skeleton crew since multiple merchants
and volunteers stayed home! Those who *did* come out worked 3 times as
hard and were real troopers, all told we got almost 800 patrons!
>From patrons to the land owners, (Marghi & Bob), to the merchants and
volunteers we were truly blessed with having wonderful people on board
and attending and we TRULY appreciate it! Thank you, again, for being a
part of our faire! Hope to see you all soon!
