I'm running Vista sp1 and from time to time NHProfiler will hang my
computer, I'm using build 503. It would appear it is a UI issue since
the cursor becomes pixelated and can only be moved intermittently.
Unfortunately I have been unable to look at the processes since it
takes to long to access, instead I need to hard reboot. I do not
usually turn my computer off and it happens every 2 days or so, so it
seems to be a memory leak?

Regards
Richard

That doesn't seems to be right, even if NHProf was taking 100% CPU, you should still be able to bring up task manager.
A memory leak wouldn't cause this lookup, either.

Will monitor and give further feedback- as you say could be unrelated
to the NHProf.

Richard, you on a HP laptop? ;)

It's not the type of problem that software usually causes. This sounds like hardware problem to me: heat problem, graphic card issue or possibly even a faulty hard drive.

Hi Michael, no I'm not, machine specs as follows:

HP xw6600, 64bit Quad Core Xeon, 8Gb ram.
Display: NVidia, Quadro NVS 290

I'm not a hardware guy so not sure if this is of any use, also I'll go
looking on the right forum if this is the prob.
Any pointers would be helpful though.

Cheers

I'm pretty sure this is not a NHprof problem.
My Vista Dell Woekstation with an Nvidea Quadro card in it used to hang
all the time. When I switched to Windows 7 the problem "mysteriously"
went away.

Richard.

Many thanks, was probably just coincidence that I was using NHProf
each time it happened.
