Update on NHLI's status (and urgent financial crisis)

I saw this message on FB and wanted to share it.  There is a NHLI Alumni Group you can join there if you haven't already.  It seems NHLI's financial situation is critical.

"Hey hermanas! I hope all of you are doing well and are starting the year with much positivity! I just wanted to fill you in on the latest information on the NHLI organization.

1. If you have not heard already NHLI's president Ann Marquez has officially stepped down from her position for personal reasons. It was a very difficult decision for her to make and we wish her all the best in future endeavors.

2. For a few months now NHLI has unfortunately been facing significant financial hardships, which is putting in jeapordy the future of this amazing organization. For that reason, Board chair Cecilia Espenoza has been planning a summit to bring NHLI almuni together to find solutions to the financial circumstances this February 13-14 in Denver, Colorado, the city where NHLI was founded.

If a decision is not made and no solutions are found the organization will be shut down. I will let you ladies know more information as soon as I am aware.
