I recently filed NH-3515 and I'd like to take a look at fixing it.  Does anyone have a pointer as to where the sql generation happens or do I just need to code up a unit test and start stepping down the stack?

I suggest you start stepping down the stack. You'll learn quite a bit, although there's a risk you may suffer a bit of hair loss. I'm almost bald now, but I've solved a few bugs!

Next stupid question.  I've got a schema that I cant seem to easily re-produce via the schema exporter.  Is it OK to create a test case which runs only for a specific database configuration?

Such a thing is more useful than no test case at all. :)

For me personally, it's easier to handle MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

The bug happens against every database I've tried so ive just been using sqlite. Sadly it deals with mapping a database schema that the schemaexport class cant generate automatically.
