New email group & instructions on how to stay involved.

Hey group,

 

We have agreed to make a new email group in order to carry on our continued efforts. We sincerely appreciate all of the hard work and enthusiasm that came from the NHHAW events and group efforts, and thank you all so much for your participation.

 

We are moving into the new year with a new focus and a growing force of advocates and organizers. Organizing as "Housing Our Neighbors," will be addressing issues of public policy and political attitudes as we demand an end to homelessness in our home city.

 

We hope to begin addressing these issues by staging an event at the mayor's press conference on February 1, at which time she will be "celebrating" the 5th anniversarry of the city's 10 year plan to end homelessness. If you would like to join us for the planning of this event, or would like to participate, please let us know. If you would like to journey with us into the new year, we would love to add you to our new housingou...@googlegroups.com group.

 

To make it clear - we WILL NOT be using the NHHAW email for regular communication anymore. We WILL use it to periodically announce upcoming events that we feel you may be interested in. And, next Fall, we will be using it to again stage and host our activities for National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.

 

To join the new email list, please contact me directly and I will add you to the list, or you can send an email to the link I posted above. We will use this new list to resume regular discussion, post meeting times and locations, and work to keep people engaged and plugged-in.
