The 3rd Annual "Technology for Innovation in Education" (t4ie.org) conference, the week of August 3-7 on the beautiful Tilton School campus, is aimed at learning, analyzing, discussing, and most importantly applying cutting edge technologies and methods in educational environments.  The two major themes this year are: Google Apps for Education” (GAFE) and “Innovation by Making”.

NEW! Innovation by Making  (2 Days)

  • These sessions will be led by educators who have experience using technology and practices from the the maker movement as tools to enhance student learning.  Work directly with the trainers to gain hands on experience with technologies such as 3D printing and using the Raspberry Pi products.  Each attendee will take their Raspberry Pi home with them.  These two days are very intensive and the first day will include time in the evening to gather to network and further discuss the possibilities when using Google Apps for Education.  All attendees will be required to bring a laptop capable of accessing the internet.


Google Apps for Education (GAFE): These sessions will be led by certified Google Education Trainers and Google Administrators who have extensive experience using GAFE in education institutions.

  • NEW! School Administrators (1 Day)
    Whether you are the leader of a school/district that currently uses Google Apps for Education, or you are still trying to decide if it is the right tool for your institution these sessions are perfect for you!  Work hands on with the trainers to gain experience with the collaboration and communication tools in the GAFE platform.  Topics such as privacy and data security will be discussed and various solutions will be shown to these common concerns.  All attendees will be required to bring a laptop capable of accessing the internet.


  • NEW! Special Education (1 Day)
    This will be a day devoted to special education and challenged learners. Each session builds on the previous session and will include an interactive piece for the participants to create a Google Doc, or Site with a collection of apps, extensions and Google tools that can be used to meet the needs of their classroom or their students.

  • NEW! Support Staff (1 Day)
    These sessions will focus on how support staff can utilize Google Apps to increase productivity and efficiency within their schools/districts and individual job responsibilities.  Whether you have been using Google Apps for many years or you are just beginning you will find helpful skills, tips, tricks, and best practices.

  • Classroom Teachers (2 Day)
    These sessions are focused on helping teachers use GAFE as a tool to improve student engagement and learning.  There will be both Beginner and Advanced tracks as well as time dedicated to putting all of the tools together in a project.  These two days are very intensive and the first day will include time in the evening to gather to network and further discuss the possibilities when using Google Apps for Education.  All attendees will be required to bring a laptop capable of accessing the internet.

  • EXPANDED! Domain Administrators (2 Day)
    These sessions will walk you through the various aspects of setting up your GAFE domain, methods of migration, and daily administration of the domain.


  • Google Educator Boot Camp (1 Day) These sessions will be focused on helping those interested in working toward becoming a certified Google Educator and potentially a Google Education Trainer.  For more information about the Google Education Trainer program click here.
