I was pleasantly surprised to see today that appointments are still available in Google Calendar.  I had been steering staff to other resources for appointment calendaring as I thought we had lost this feature.  Turns out it is just available for work or school Google Calendar accounts.

This is a great feature for a population that really benefits from this, especially integrated into their existing calendar.
