Washington Post Weather Editor to speak to speak at ANS meeting

I want to invite all of you to the first in a new series of ANS member meetings next Wednesday, July 14, at Woodend. Jason Samenow, Weather Editor of the Washington Post and team leader of the popular Capital Weather Gang blog, will be the special guest. He will do a presentation on Washington’s major weather events of the last few years and why they happened.

Jason holds a master’s degree in atmospheric science and worked for the federal government for ten years as a climate change analyst. He is the past president of the D.C. The presentation will start at 7:30, but come early and visit the Book Shop, which will open at 7!

 

Guests are welcome. Non-members may want to take advantage of a special half-price membership and also receive the members' discount at the Book Shop.
