Hello educators!
In collaboration with NOAA and the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen's Alliance, a series of 5 lessons were created for middle/high school students (grades 8-12) highlighting concepts and data collected from the eMOLT Project <https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/new-england-mid-atlantic/climate/partnering-fishing-industry-monitor-northeast-shelf>.
The lessons include concepts involving commercial fishing, ocean currents, understanding water characteristics, reading and creating temperature profiles, and exploring water quality data. This curriculum is free and can be found on the Cape Cod Fishermen's Alliance <https://capecodfishermen.org/our-work/community-outreach/shellfish-education/>
website.
If you use the curriculum in your classroom, there is also the chance to win your own water quality device to collect your own data after filling out our survey!
