I hope this email finds you well! My name is Maria, and I am a doctoral candidate from Indiana University. I am conducting a research study, and I need your help. The inquiry focuses on how early childhood teacher education programs in the United States address nature-based early learning at the undergraduate level, in terms of where they locate its content in the curriculum and the philosophical nature of its teaching. Teacher educators, regardless of their background in nature-based early learning or appointment type (i.e., adjunct or full-time), are welcome to participate.
To be eligible to participate, respondents must be 18 or older and teacher educators who teach content related to early childhood education at the undergraduate level. Early childhood education is defined as the period from birth through age eight (i.e., infancy through third grade). If you are a teacher educator from an early childhood education, elementary education, science education, or environmental education program who teaches content that targets birth through age eight, you are welcome to complete the survey.
Your insights are pivotal to understanding how nature-based early learning is positioned within higher education. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes of your time. To show my appreciation, participants who complete the survey will be entered in a random drawing for $25 gift cards. Ten gift cards will be awarded!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Best Regards,
Maria Zoretic-Goodwin
