Hi Everyone,
I know this isn't about butterfly's but I couldn't resist. I have seen this before but never this many. At 7AM this morning with the temperature registering around 47F I noticed that the Showy Goldenrod was covered with Bumblebees. I counted 32 Eastern Common Bumblebees (a conservative count) in what I will call suspended animation, waiting for the sun's return. Very cool!!!
Sometimes you don't have to go any further than your backyard to be awed by nature!
ps. I have this Beatles tune "Here Comes the Sun" recurring in my mind. LOL.
Photos of some of the bees than spent the night
Have great day
