2026 Great Bay Butterfly Count

Good afternoon!

Thank you for all that have reached out already inquiring about the 2026
Great Bay Butterfly Count! The count is scheduled for Wednesday July
15th at 9:30am.  This year we will be meeting at Burley Farms, 247 River
Road in Epping  (Burley Farms - SELT), a lovely conservation area that
is home to Southeast Land Trust headquarters. At the meetup we will
review sites, break up into teams and head out for surveys for the day.
At that time we can discuss the weather and how long we may survey,
typically we have been returning to the meet up spot at 2pm unless there
is rain or extreme heat.

Please bring water, lunch and snacks, a hat, sunscreen, and any tools
that assist you with butterfly observation and identification.

There’s still time to invite others to the count and have them reach out
to me so I can plan teams in advance!
