Exeter Pollinator Gardens : 1st Monarch of the season

Hi Everyone, 


Not many blooms yet in the gardens, but enough Common Milkweed to attract the first Monarch of the season. A female pitter-pattering through the Milkweed and occasionally stopping to lay an egg.  Always a treat to watch!!!!

Other sightings in the last couple of days

  • 1- Mourning Cloak fly by
  • 2 or 3 Tiger Swallowtail fly by’s
  • 1 Peck’s Skipper : first of the season
  • A few Cabbage White’s

American Lady caterpillars on the Pearly Everlasting
