Visitors:
45 in total, including visits from hikers near and far. Great seeing Tom and Ginny from Lyndeborough up for a visit, and nice talking to 'Hot Hands,' a past A-T through-hiker.

Weather:
Warm and sunny with scattered cloud cover and only a light breeze from the west to the south as the day progressed. A cool start (10 degrees C) gave way to warmer afternoon temps (22 C) with some hazy skies by early afternoon.

Raptor Observations:
Small numbers of most of the regular early September migrants, led by Broad-wings and Bald Eagles. Local Red-tailed Hawk, Broad-winged Hawk, and a Merlin catching dragonflies later in the day.

Non-raptor Observations:
A few non-raptor highlights included Red Crossbill (2), Ruby-throated Hummingbird (2), Eastern Towhee (1), and Blackburnian Warbler (2). Darners and a Saddlebags dragonfly species, as well as several butterflies, including 4 Monarchs.

Predictions:
Looks like a similar weather pattern the next few days. Come help Kate on her first day as official counter tomorrow!
