Osprey?

This is going to sound very strange. Driving up 91 North in Vermont near exit 16, I believe just prior to exit 16. I looked to my left to what I think was the grass median, and I thought that I saw a tall pole and there was an osprey on it. I know that I saw an osprey. I think that the osprey was beginning to bring nesting material. This seems like a very odd place to purposefully put an osprey platform. However it is fairly close to the river as the crow / osprey flies. Can anybody corroborate this crazy story or should I chalk it up to a highway hallucination
