Winter Finches in Lempster

I had a flock of seven Evening Grosbeaks flying over duck pond in Lempster this morning. I heard them flying overhead several times there and on my way to the Twin Bridges in Ashuelot Headwaters Forest. Pine Siskins also in the area.

I also had 8 Red Crossbills on Long Pond Rd. on my way back, but since they’ve been here all year long, I can’t count them as winter finches.
