Wood Thrushes in Wilton

Since early July, I have been most fortunate to hear the melodic song of two to three Wood Thrushes on my property at dawn and dusk. Two on the east side and one on the west side.  I leave my window open to hear them in the early morning and sit out at night to listen to the dusk songs.  Tonight was another great performance.  Much better than tv or the cyberworld any day :).

Hi Gail, 

There have been 2 or 3 singing at the Mason Road, Badger Farm Road intersection for a couple weeks as well. I can often hear others scattered along the length of Mason Road while biking towards Pratt Pond.

Also, tonight a Whip-Poor-Will in the usual spot…down Stephen’s Road. In the spring and early summer we can often hear several Whips at once (since about 2017ish), but they have quieted down over the last couple weeks, as expected.
