Visitors:24. Good to see lots of couples and pairs of friends out for a hike
carrying binoculars and looking for hawks! Hello to Dan and Mame Bisaccio,
Van Zimmer, and Mitch Heydt.
Weather:Very warm with light southwest to south winds. Temps rising from 15-26 C.
Clear to partly cloudy with haze most of the day.
Raptor Observations:A few migrants trickled by in the morning, but by afternoon it was all
locals - Red-tails sparring with Ravens over both Wapack summits, and adult
and juvenile Broad-wings appearing for a short time.
Non-raptor Observations:Ruby-throated Hummingbird (7), Chimney Swift (1), Winter Wren (1), American
Pipit (1), Eastern Towhee (1 - continuing juvenile female at seed),
warblers - Tennessee (1), Nashville (3), Black-throated Blue (1),
Black-throated Green (1), Yellow-rumped (6), unidentified (6)
1 Monarch.
Predictions:Warm and humid with southwest winds. Fog or haze possible. Raptors may wait
