All three scoter species were present on Cherry Pond in Jefferson on Sunday afternoon. The weather conditions were ideal for keeping waterfowl from migrating. The cloud ceiling was at 2,700 feet, intermittent rain, temperature of 42 F. The scoters would fly up and circle the pond and then settle back down and raft up, and repeat.
