Rough legged Hawk continues in Coos

With many thanks to L Charron for early daytime alert about this bird,  allowing us time to drop unpacking to see this buteo. 

First seen kiting over highway then flew directly over car (unable to stop due to traffic). Fabulous views through sunroof.    Finally able to pull over,  but bird had disappeared. Relocated soaring by telecommunication tower between Perry and Success.(now distant) Temp in mid 50s!!  (Coos???)   with 28-40mph wind gusts reported, dry (Jackson was 32 and rain/sleeting snow just 30 minutes south). Distant photos taken.
