Coopers or Sharp-shinned?

Late afternoon, had a sizeable hawk glide over our back yard and pause 

in a maple tree about 50 yds. away from myself and our bird feeders.  Its flight overhead scattered 

30 or 50 birds instantly...it never followed any of them.

I believe it to be a Cooper's Hawk...

Please...opinions?
