Observers: Chuck Carlson, Lori-Ann Chretien, Nancy Moreau, Pam Bondi

Visitors:
41 Many asking where the whiteboard was and many anxious for the official start of the season in just 2 days

Weather:
Still a bit breezy from the NW. It kept the observers in jackets all day. More importantly it seemed to break up thermal activity. Partly to mostly cloudy at times.

Raptor Observations:
A satisfying early day. Because there wasn’t a lot of thermals today, most of the raptors used the orographic lift up the west side and kept most of the birds observed with the unaided eye.

Non-raptor Observations:
Eastern Towhee 4 Ruby-throated hummingbird 5 monarchs today, 9 for the season

Predictions:
Lighter winds from the north and cold temperatures overnight to the north of us may motivate some early migrants.
