Zeke Cornell and I went on a whale watch with the Granite State out of Rye Harbor this afternoon. The seas were calm flat making for excellent viewing (and no seasickness meds :-). The breeze from the boat made the temperature much more comfortable than on land.
The whale watching was stupendous and we had some great birds - all in NH waters. We went to the area of Old Scantum where we had Humpbacks all around the boat- 16! We watched one feed by tail slapping and then coming up with its mouth open. There were dolphins and an amazing, huge Leatherback Sea Turtle.
