Lempster Red Crossbills

On a morning hike through Lempster Town Forest, Ashuelot Headwaters Mountain Rd. parcel and Long Pond Rd., I heard Red Crossbills multiple times (5).  Several recordings obtained to ID to Type (will upload to eBird reports later).  The only visual was of a single bird flying over Duck Pond while calling.  There is a moderate cone crop starting to develop on some of the spruces, so hopefully they will stick around.
