Winter Crow Roost: blog updates/videos!

Greetings all,

We are seeing growing multitudes of Crows arriving weekly at the Winter Crow Roost in Lawrence.

The action each night has been spectacular and the roost is split into two nearby locations. The blog

has just been updated, with an action video for each posting....well worth a look!

Nov. 21: Out on Crow Patrol with initial scouting stops north of the hospital, then back to the Prospect

Street area as the Crows seemed to be setting up the overnight roost in the trees along the lower end of Prospect...

Nov. 23: Out on dawn Crow Patrol with large numbers of Crows in overnight roost trees along SW corner of

Prospect Hill next to the Marston St./Prospect St. intersection. Also large numbers seen in trees along the Spicket

River north of Canal...

Nov. 23: Out on Crow Patrol scouting for final staging locations north of hospital and around Prospect Hill. Initial group

of Crows arrived in roost area and biggest buildup was at the very...

Nov. 28: Out on Crow Patrol with first stop along lower Prospect St. with Crows just starting to gather in the hillside

tree tops below the water tower. About 18 minutes after sunset time, hordes of Crows came streaming in from the N

and from SW....
