Database Administrator - Oracle

* Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products * Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products * Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures * Take care of the Database design and implementation * Implement and maintain database security (create/maintain users and roles, assign privileges) * Perform database tuning and performance monitoring * Setup and maintain documentation and standards * Plan growth and changes (capacity planning) * Work as part of a team and function as a self-starter with minimal supervision * Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development teams * Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support. * Patch Management and Version Control

* Deep understanding of Oracle 11g technology * Strong experience with RAC, ASM, OEM * Proficiency in SQL, Linux and scripting * Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting, performance tuning and SQL optimization * Strong problem solving and analytical skills * Hands on experience with database monitoring tools * Prior experience in a 24x7 on-call rotation and performing off-hours work * Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and desire for quality * Ability to manage multiple priorities in time-sensitive situations * Proven experience in a production environment
