So - anyone have any thoughts on place that will take outgrown toys? I have
"play clay" stuff, dolls, etc that deserve better than the trash heap.

Where are you? Some towns have 'swap shops' at their local recycling
centers.
I'm in Londonderry - and no such luck. It would have been my first stop. I
suppose I could give them to my Mom on the Cape to drop at her swap spot.
I liked giving them to the thrift shop - some kid got a nice toy and it
supported the senior center.

if you can't pawn them off on relatives, yard sales or (my favorite)
FREE at the end of the driveway.
my town requires permits for yard sales (no more than 4 per year)
and i can't be bothered usually, so i pile stuff at the overflow
parking area at the end of my driveway with a Free (not the sign!)
sign... i had someone take my free sign once ;)
i have seen my stuff show up at yard sales, but oh well. it's not in
my house anymore
