Yes, I know that this is a real hike in the driving department especially with Boston traffic and I can assure you that anyone who can sail a Laser well in the typical conditions of Buzzards Bay can probably sail anywhere except perhaps in the Gorge or in the St. Francis Yacht Club Laser Slalom  (see the end of this message)

If you want to sail and train in New England, here's a FREE Opportunity

If you are sad that frostbiting is over, and you are looking for more ways to race your Laser, then join Mark Bear at New Bedford Yacht Club for some great fun sailing.

Here’s what is happening for Lasers on Buzzards Bay this summer:

  • Laser scrimmages, every Monday 4-6 PM at New Bedford Yacht Club. Rabbit starts, no scoring, just good fun and 2 hours of intensive sailing in the best venue in New England. Please contact Mark Bear for more information: mb...@mit.edu, 508-878-0664

  • The John Bentley Memorial Regatta (Championship of Buzzards Bay, Saltmarsh Trophy), Saturday, June 24, NBYC. Open to all ages. ILCA6 and 7 rigs usually sail as one fleet for the championship but can be divided if numbers at pre-registration justify it. NOR and registration: https://theclubspot.com/regatta/7w4AM0puAs

https://www.yachtsandyachting.com/news/158745/San-Francisco-Laser-Slalom-overall  features Laser Olympian Anna Tunnicliff and Laser D7 stalwarts and World Champions: Peter SHope, Scott Ferguson, Peter Seidenberg, Christine Nevile Shope, and Ben Richardson,
