7:04 this morning marked the Vernal Equinox meaning the days are
getting longer!
It seems hard to believe that a week ago today it was a balmy spring
day and I was ready to launch for an evening's sail on the river only
spend the last 2 days snow blowing, plowing, and shoveling.

Tuesday night, thanks to Christina's presentation of my edited
proposal, PSA adopted the following for the Laser Fleet's 2013
Membership Policy:
2013 PSA Laser Fleet Membership Policy

Annual Obligations and Dues:

ALL of the following apply
* $100 for the season if paid in full before May 15, 2013 or
$125 after May 15 or
$ 20 per night.

AND

* contribute personal time in the Spring RC boat preparation and
Fall
winterization. No special skills are required. The required scope of
work is
generally, but not always, achieved in 1 full day in the spring and 1
full day in
the fall under the spirit of “many hands make for light work and build
team
camaraderie”.

AND

* Members are urged to acquire a State of NH power boat license
or equivalent
and rotate with other members in Race Committee (RC) duties in
conducting
Wednesday night races. Participation in RC entails setting up or in
assisting in
the setting of the race course and scoring. (A scoring formula has
been devised
that benefits those fulfilling their RC service obligation). Operation
of the Race
Committee Boat without the required license may be cited by
enforcement
authorities and subject to a fine in accordance with NH Marine Patrol
laws.

* Youth sailors under 18 are exempted from fees. All minors must
sign a parental consent
& release form.

* Any sailor who wishes to “try out” the PSA Laser Fleet racing
program is granted 2 (two)
free nights of sailing in their lifetime; annual dues or nightly fees
apply thereafter.

* Persons not paying applicable fees will not have their scores
recorded.

Just to clarify Steve. Because I'm a member of K. P.Y.C. I do not need to pay the one hundred dollars PCA dues.
?is that correct?

ok, you need to talk with Bruno and whoever is in charge at KPYC about the details.  I am going to RI this coming week and will pick up your sail from Jim Myers at Intensity

Anyone else need anything?  I am pickup up a bunch of spars for Stu Nickerson

No thanks, I make my own illegal sails.  The yellow buoy is painted.  I didn't need the extra can of paint.  I will try and return it to Jackson's and give you the money or credit when I see you.  The buoy looks gorgeous except at it's very south pole, but we should be able to spot it on the water.

You can just ask them to credit it to Autoworks' account.  Thanks for getting the other stuff done.

We all set for weights or do we need some new ones?

all set - a minor repair is needed to one of them - easily achieved with a coupling and new cap as I recall.

Thinking it would be good to figure out a way to make setting and getting the right depth right -

Any ideas?

without a depth finder on the boat, nothing comes to mind given the tides around here...but then at least we aren't in your homeland of Nova Scotia where you have REAL TIDES!!!
