Hi Guys -

I want to second all the thanks to everyone. GBYC's Laser racing is successful due to RC efforts, but equally due to the welcoming, friendly efforts at registration, on chase boats, and at the Awards BBQ. 

It's a great time for the racers - and a good value. All you guys need to understand its your efforts that make it. 

You are very generous to me and that's very appreciated. That said, I couldn't do it without June, Tim, the chase boat crews, the guys on shore, etc.

It's a great GBYC tradition, well thought of in the sailing community, and looked forward to by everyone. 

Thanks again, and here's to the Fall reprise.

The spring regatta was a resounding success, with probably one of the closest finishes that can be had with a 3 way tie for fourth place, sending Tom Brown to rule books for an official ruling. We were lucky enough to have a reporter from The Granite State Sentinel to cover the race and write a good story about the club.

I would like to thank Keith, John, Greg, Dean, Marie, Mary, Tim R, David, Adam, Paul R, and Tim P for assistance in cleaning and setting up the club as well as Mike, Charlie, and Wally for manning chase boats. Special thanks goes to our Sailing Master Tom Brown and June Pinkham for organizing and officiating the race. Without either one I don’t think we could have pulled it all together.

 

We look forward to hosting the Lazer Fleet once again on Sunday October 14th for the fall regatta.
