Từ ngày 18-23/3 sẽ có hội thảo của SPC về phân tích dữ liệu cá ngừ thuộc dự án  WCPFC  do anh Hải điều phối. Anh em trong phòng tham gia hội thảo nhé. Trong hội thảo này, sẽ sử dụng R-Studio để phân tích dữ liệu.

Hi Dr. Hai,

 

For the upcoming workshop, we intend to conduct most of the practical hands-on activities using the R software platform; however, we may use Excel for some exercises. I expect most (or some) participants will be familiar with R, but if not, we wanted to provide some installation instructions in advance to at least make sure everyone has the necessary software on their laptops and can follow along and explore the exercises using their own machines. Please find the html instructions document attached.

 

In addition, there will be a set of R libraries we will use. R libraries are used to access different functions and data sets available within R. It may be best if participants install these prior to the workshop, just to avoid any potential issues with internet connectivity. I’m including a link to a blog post that describes how to install R packages (very simple to do). We intend to use the following R packages, but noting there may be others as we haven’t fully completed our preparations. It should not be a problem to install new packages during the workshop, but ensuring everyone is comfortable doing so and has most of the packages installed already will likely save us some time.

One question that still remains is whether participants of this workshop can have access to the Vietnam data collected through the WPEA project. If yes, then we can try to create some realistic examples using Vietnam’s data. If not, we can use some of the data sets available within R and from other examples/data we can share. Please let me know the data access level of participants.
