Track and Field Update

Athletes and Parents:

We hope that everyone is safe and enjoying the start to Spring Break.  

The message that we received from the North Gwinnett administration included this message from the GHSA, "I am sure most of you know by now that Governor Kemp on Thursday (March 26) extended the mandatory closing of all schools through April 24. Obviously, the GHSA will follow this edict and we remind our member schools that all practices and contests remain suspended until at least April 24."

At this point, the GHSA has not officially cancelled the spring sports.  We are hoping that we will be able to finish the season after we return to school.  However, we know this becomes less likely the longer we are out of school.  We are asking the varsity athletes to continue to do workouts with parent approval until we officially hear what the GHSA will decide.  The JV athletes can make an individual decision on whether they want to continue to train.
