I have looked at the progressions at which it takes to go throughout the grade levels on the lesson for waves. I was wondering what if they have looked a model of the concept or dealt with the math specifically in order to get to the high school level of evaluating and communicating. Honestly, sometimes I feel like I have to not only reteach material that they supposedly learned in junior high and then know I am asked to teach it at a higher level in high school. This will definitely take more time. In addition, I still feel that some of the details of the concept might be lost in the translation of accomplishing the standard. I guess it is just fear of the unknown.
