Bad news everyone!

Turns out, I made an incorrect inference and made a double-counting accounting error the last time I tried to get everyone up to speed on the budget. As always, the current state of the budget is available at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlFDRebGdtCJdFFvTmRuNEVaUW5OWVVvNDg5U3dEVEE&usp=drive_web#gid=0 or "NGSO Budget 2013 to 2014".

We have approximately $3387.15 remaining, or 67.74%. Recall that sometime around June is when, IIRC, Sandi expects the budget to be empty/planned out to be spent with something alongside the GPN retreat if we go by last year's thinking.

Some perspective: as of 3/26/2013 last year, we had $2413 remaining, slightly < $1000 less than we do now, at the same time in the year. Even then, we had a hard time spending it all, with $1100 going to the GPN retreat kayaking. (Those records are at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlFDRebGdtCJdDRKUjc5eTlZT0doa2JjWmRJWFYtWGc&usp=drive_web#gid=0 )

Coming up, we've got another ~$200 TFT next week (we need to put those on the calendar by the way) and the grand 5-minute Talks are the week after that, which we can pay the vast majority of the costs for - we paid $493 for it last year.

Brief idea: even though there's not that much time left, we could start a semi-weekly (every 2 weeks) TF(&Secondsis)T instead of just monthly.
