NGSO officers,
At Friday's CNSO meeting, I intend to propose that CompNet and the GPN
Comp Neuro administrations hold general meetings, where they can give
overviews of exactly what roles these structures play, what resources
they provide for students and who the people are that students can
contact for what reasons, as well as allow students to ask questions.
We've found in our meetings that there is a baseline level of confusion
as to what's going on, and had multiple calls to have David Somers and
Barb Shinn-Cunningham to come to our meetings, but it seems to me that
there's a more general need than satisfying the curiosity of those who
bother to attend our meetings.
It occurs to me that GPN as a whole may be interested in this sort of
general meeting, and if so, perhaps we should not restrict this to GPN
Comp Neuro, or maybe there should be a GPN meeting in addition to a Comp
Neuro meeting.
Therefore, I'd like to invite all of NGSO, and in particular its
officers, to come to Friday's CNSO meeting in the basement of 677 Beacon
St. at 5pm. I know this is late notice, but I'd appreciate it if you
could make time, as I believe this discussion is in all of our
interests. If you would like to be in this discussion and have time
constraints, please let us know, and we can try to time the discussion
so that as many as possible can participate.
There will of course be pizza and beer. If many attend, we might need to
get more than usual, so please let us know if you will be.
