Hi,

I have th following situation:

! character that has several meshes (body, shirt, etc)

How can i transfer the weights from the underlying body to the shirt, so that both objects get the same weights, on the vertices that are on top each other? This way they should always move together to avoid intersections.

Should be pretty simple but i am unsure how to do it...

Thank you!

David

If you want to do it with ngSkinTools:
1. Initialize Skinning Layers on source and destination meshes. (Bind both meshes to the same joints)
2. Select the source mesh, then target mesh and in the ngSkinTools menu > Tools > Transfer Weights.
3. You will get a window showing the bind joints list (source-destination) and the type of transfer you want to use (Closest Point on Surface, UV Space and Vertex Id. Default should be fine unless you have the same mesh.)
4. Press Done. All the weights along with layers will be transferred to the target mesh.
