Ph.D. candidate of Osmania University is required to submit the following along with the Ph.D. submission form to the Controller of Examinations (near Press, OU) to submit the Ph.D. thesis
1. Four soft bound copies of the thesis incorporating certificate from the supervisor and/or Director and declaration from the candidate (thesis must be typed on both sides of A4 size paper using font type “Times New Roman” and size “12” with 1.5 line spacing. For drawings and maps, these restrictions do not apply. Thesis should be printed on bond paper)
2. Soft copy (CD) of the thesis (better to provide both pdf and word files)
3. Six soft bound copies of the synopsis (better to print on single side as it generally consists 2-6 pages)
4. Demand draft (Rs. 1000/-) in favour of the Registrar, Osmania University (do not take in favor of the controller of examinations)
5. Copy of the Ph.D. course work examination (you need to show the original at the time of submission)
6. Copy of the PG certificate (you need to show the original at the time of submission)
7. Copy of the letter of admission/joining report/extension/change of title/change of topic (you need to show the original certificates at the time of submission)
8. Original certificates for Ph.D. seminars
9. No Dues Certificate (NDC) (see enclose, one need to get signatures from the librarians of the university library at Art’s college, concerned department library and seminar library at Dean office; Accountant of the concerned department and Dean office; Chief Warden; Head of the concerned department. Finally get signature of Dean, faculty of science, before that make sure you have paid Ph.D. annual fees).
Concern person at the controller of examinations unit
will verify the application and all your documents and put his/her signature on
your application. After that you need to submit the application at counter-3
(if I am right) near to the controller of examinations unit and then you will
be issued with a Ph.D. submission receipt (keep this receipt for further
communication).
In addition, the thesis supervisor of the candidate shall submit a panel of 12 examiners (both hard and soft copy) in a prescribed format to the Chairperson, Board of Studies (see enclose for format). Out of 12 examiners, 9 are to be identified from outside the state of Andhra Pradesh, and not more than one from the same institution. Don’t supply more than two retired scientist/professors names.
