Dear Team,

It is great that my Government ( Ministry of Population and Environment) is formulating NAP. As i have been always critical on climate change issues and work of my government, now i have decided to work for government in more constructive manner.

I will out for ASEAN countries till May end and is planning to dedicate one month ( June) towards developing NAP. This will be pro bono support to my Government.

It is a request to Ministry of Population and Environment to include me in a team so that i can contribute for formulation of one of important strategy of Nepal Government as a representative as common citizen of Nepal.

Please suggest necessary process and criteria for my inclusion to support NAP formulation.

I can bring the knowledge on institutional arrangement, resilient, business solution to climate change and Value Chain- Climate Change nexus.

Regards

Dear Batu sir, Lamsal sir, Nareshji and team,

Thanks for the update and exciting developments. Would it be possible to access/share 30 April 2016 workshop outcome document with us for better understanding. What MOPE and and associated experts have developed/accumulated on CC knowledge/actions in Nepal is remarkable. Much appreciated.

At this point of time, I think it is equally useful to analyse the existing process (NAP, NAPA, LAPA and son on) and institutional arrangements details (MOPE-line Ministries, NPC, Decentralized State Authorities-Districts-Municipality and VDC level agents as well as village level action groups, if they exist as such) and get them visualized in order to see positive cascading effects (effects with a consequence/impact analysis). It would also add value if we do some sort of mapping of different types of research institutions (hard-core scientific, action research, policy research etc) and have sense of their linkages/effects in this process.

Although we are developing several layers in this process (coping with CC), to make better use of wisdom generated as part of these efforts, a clear harmonized approach sounds much needed than ever before.

Much regards,
Tek
