NCCSP bags People's Champion Award in the Global Photo Context!

Dear all, 

Sharing with you the news about Nepal's work on adaptation being recognized globally through the global photo context!

In the Adaptation Fund's global Photo Contest to promote the importance of adapting the world's coasts and watersheds to climate change launched on April 22- "Earth Day" 2016, NCCSP is awarded with 'People's Champion for its adaptation photo titled "POWER OF UNITY TO BUILD A DAM". The wining photo portrays local communities constructing a dam for an irrigation canal in Lalpur ward no. 1 of Khairichandanpur VDC of Bardiya district. In addition, other three action photos of the adaptation work under NCCSP were among the 'honorable mention'.

Thank you for sharing the very exciting news. Congratulations to the NCCSP team. Learning from NCCSP, now, we all have the responsibilities and accountability of making other similar programs work for climate vulnerable people and communities. For which there is a central role of MOPE and the relevant line ministry; and we are always there to back-up.
