This correspondence is a bit ambiguous as far as the statement “any other organised tournaments” goes.
ZGU competitions, club championship and Ndola open NO PROBLEM
If that includes Saturday competitions, fundraisers etc. the results will be:-
Those people and players/friends that use a golf carts will NOT play in competitions and or fundraisers. (Two per cart)
They will all play (maybe) social golf after or before the said “tournamnents”
The same people are your main sponsors, club supporters’ etc. Look at the list of people.

Think the letter is just worded wrong....
I think it should mean that any ZGU order of merit tournament where a cart is to be used a medical certificate is to be produced. All other club comps etc are excluded from this.
As far as I know this is what the ladies do and what ladies do outside the country.

Just a few clarifications on the letter from the ZGU Hon. Secretary.
The genisis of all this is the complaints from the members of the
Ndola Golf Club. The members felt that the carts give a lot of
advantage to those riding on them. So, when the complaints started
flooding, I advised the Vice Captain to seek clarification before we
could make any announcements, which he did. My understanding of that
leter is that it only restricts the usage of the carts in ZGU
competitions such as the Opens, Club championships and Champion of
champions where the order of merit is recorded for the seeding of
players for events such as the Zambia Open participation. However,
this does not iclude the club's Saturday competitions, fundraisers,
social games and corporate golf days.
However, even for the ZGU competitions, those who have medical
challenges can still use them as evidenced from the just ended cluib
championship where Mr Bosman, Mr Bouvery and Mr Yogesh Desai used
them.
Your contribution to the well being of the our club is unquestionable
and we are all greatly indebted to all the gallant men and women who
untirelessly continue to sacrifice for the club.
