1986 - 5' 7" Spud Webb of Atlanta Hawks wins NBA Slam Dunk Competition

~~~wilkins 'the human highlight reel' had better dunks but it was just so dadgum cool watching spud jump...i had a friend that was a scorekeeper at reunion arena when spud was in high school and he said people were laughing at him until the game started

1996 - NFL & Cleveland allows Art Modell to move his NFL franchise to Balt but he had to leave the Browns' name behind

~~~i liked the browns quite a bit at the time...i hated coach 'bozo choke' for years until reading a lacrosse article in SPORTING NEWS 4 and half years ago...it was still great to see him lose on sunday though
