Subject: Sad News - Dr. Rajen Anand

Dear NFIA Board Members and Past Presidents,

I am deeply saddened to inform you of the passing away of beloved Dr. Rajen Anand Ji, our long time and active Board Member, Past President and Past Chairman of NFIA.

  

The Indian American community has lost a great friend and great community leader. A much bigger loss for NFIA,  where Dr. Rajen Anand has made legendary contributions and was in charge of resolutions and constitutional changes in the NFIA.  

He served in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) as Executive Director of the Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion in Washington DC from 1995 to 2001.

Dr. Rajen Anand has published over 350 news articles and stories in various newspapers and magazines, in addition to his many scientific papers in national and international journals.

There are no words adequate to express the loss of our beloved Rajen Ji,  

We pray that God may give his wife Angela and their sons and Anand family the strength and courage to bear the loss in this moment of grief.
